The Funeral Welcome Form is intended both as an aid to pastoral conversation and as a means of recording essential information in relation to funerals and burials. Professionalism as well as pastoral sensitivity are needed at such a time and this form will prompt ministers to ask all the necessary practical questions, creating a reliable record for the planning and conducting of the funeral service and allowing the minister to focus on pastoral care. Developed by the Life Events Team of the Church of England, the GDPR-compliant form will also enable churches to stay in touch with those who come for the occasional offices, to offer continuing pastoral care to the bereaved and to remember anniversaries of death.
